Previews Schedule

The majority of programming takes place on Monday, but please note the events that begin on Sunday at 4 p.m. 

In addition to the programming below, a schedule of student-run events will be added here in the coming weeks. This schedule will include Affinity Previews, a set of programming organized by affinity group student leaders to showcase the experiences of different identities on campus, and Williams in our Voices, a series of events hosted by various student organizations.

GLOBAL SCHOLARS PANEL

Hear from the faculty director and current Global Scholars about this exciting multi-year academic community. Students apply and are selected at the end of their first year and form an academic cohort that takes an interdisciplinary approach to exploring critical global trends and issues.

6-8 p.m.

PURPLE KEY FAIR

Chandler Gymnasium 
Meet student leaders from many of our 150+ clubs, causes, teams and organizations.

8:15-9:45 p.m.

JAMBOREE

Chapin Hall 
A performance sampler of singing, instrumental, comedy and dance groups. Not to be missed!

10-11:15 p.m.

STONE HILL MOONLIGHT HIKE

Departs from Paresky Center steps
Join the Williams Outing Club for a short hike, s'mores, a cappella and great views of campus. Wear appropriate shoes, and bring a jacket.

Goodrich Coffee Bar
Enjoy a relaxing evening of snacks, beverages, games and good conversation, hosted by Minority Coalition (MinCo) groups and other student affinity groups. This event also kicks off Affinity Previews—programming organized by students and open to all!

Jewish Religious Center
Take a tour of the Jewish Religious Center and meet with student leaders from the Williams College Jewish Association (WCJA) over lunch. Learn about Jewish life on campus, meet our Jewish Chaplain, Rabbi Seth Wax, and have your questions answered.

Gretchen Long, dean of the college, and Leticia Smith-Evans Haynes ’99, vice president for institutional diversity, equity and inclusion, will answer your questions about the transition to college, residential life, academic resources, inclusion and services that promote student wellness on campus.

Williams offers 65 areas of study across three academic divisions: languages and the arts, social sciences, and science and mathematics. Meet with professors to discuss classes, curriculum, research opportunities, major requirements and other aspects of academic life at Williams.

Need a place to destress?
The Office of Accessible Education and the Disabled Student Union are offering spaces for silent relaxation, quiet activities, and allergen-friendly snacks. Visit the second floor of Greylock Hall from 11-3 if you need a quiet break. The space is accessible via stairs and a lift.

Found items will be brought to Campus Safety Services, located in the basement of Hopkins Hall.
