On behalf of fellow Ephs everywhere, congratulations!
We know you’ve had a lot of opportunities to hear from the people across campus who’ll help to make Williams feel like home. As we think back on our own college selection process—the excitement, the uncertainty, wanting the whole thing to just be OVER—we can relate. So, we promise to keep this brief. Here’s the run-down:
If you still have questions about the Williams experience, you can connect with current students using our Ask an Eph network. They’re a group that spans class years, majors, backgrounds, and interests—and they’re ready and eager to hear from you!
Before we sign off, we’ll leave you with final thoughts:

This may be the corniest thing to say, but I’d choose Williams again in a heartbeat. At this small school in the Purple Valley, you can count on learning inside incredible buildings like Hollander Hall or the Wachenheim Science Center. But something I didn’t know was that some of the most important things I’d learn would happen outside of class. Williams has students from almost all imaginable backgrounds and experiences, and talking to people in a class, bumping into a stranger on Spring Street, or overhearing a conversation in Paresky will remind you of the compassion and insight that are spread all over this world; it will open your eyes to the kindness and wisdom that will surround you at Williams. You’ll have much to learn here, but never forget that you were accepted–it wasn’t without reason. Never forget that you have something to teach us here, too.

It's weird writing this message. It feels like just yesterday I was in your shoes. But then I look at the date, and I realize it's already been three years somehow. Over those three years, I've experienced many highs, a couple of lows, and everything in between. Looking back, I wouldn't trade my Williams experience for anything in the world. I have crafted new stories every day and made new memories with the people around me. Now, some might say you can do that anywhere, and they aren't wrong. There is just something so distinctly unique and special about the Williams environment that words can do it no justice. From my first nights here playing a campus-wide game of hide-and-seek to sunrise hikes and Green River swims to getting the opportunity to meet alums in the heart of Silicon Valley, Williams has given me so much. I have gotten to participate on a varsity team, sing my heart out in acapella, and become co-president of the black men's society. Instead of having to pick one, Williams has allowed me to pursue all my interests and hobbies, while at the same time giving me the opportunity to thrive. And as a result, I have learned how to become a better leader and a better friend. I can't wait for you to see what Williams has in store for you! Hope to see you in the fall.
Sincerely,
Daniela ‘25
